Hands down, the MX500 earbuds deliver pristine sound. They’re very comfortable, non-intrusive and great for the gym or the beach.

Sadly, my life is a labyrinth of cords. At the end of my night, my workspace (stage, usually) looks like a giant plate of spaghetti. Very few products survive the test of time. They are replaced with the next new thing even before the consumer can sit and open the box. The thrill is gone before you get the product to work. We live in the era of “pump and dump”—seduced by the dark forces of not-to-clever advertising sound bites, which are only effective because we are bombarded with them and we acquiesce just to make it go away.

A real exception to the rule are the Grado SR60 headphones.
